Artist statement:
This series of paintings & sculptures contains symbols that pertain to dualism and chaos in our current global culture as well as our interaction with the natural world. A majority of humanity is riding a wave of confusion about our place in this world. It is difficult to surmount the sea of ideas spinning around us at great speeds, while every day digesting a new problem that is begging to be addressed. What great lengths will we go to become even further separated from the very things that allow for well-being in all aspects of life? These images are asking us to take the time to deeply connect with our inner selves, nature, and each other while acknowledging the illusion of separation.
